One of the best qualities of watercolor is its ability to create dreamy, ethereal, abstract effects in addition to realistic renderings.

Through this course, we will explore both aspects of watercolor in order to achieve portraits that juxtapose realism with abstraction. I'll show you how to use different watercolor techniques such as wet on wet, dry on wet, texture, and glazing to achieve an impressive effect that utilizes all of watercolor's best features.
